1. Braile enable computer Lab:

The Braille-Enabled Computer Laboratory at NIT Meghalaya is equipped with modern assistive technologies to support the learning needs of visually impaired students. The laboratory provides:

• Braille-enabled computers
• NVDA screen reader software
• Headphones for audio learning
• Internet-enabled computer systems
• Training in computer fundamentals and keyboard skills
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet usage
• A safe, accessible, and inclusive learning environment

These facilities help students develop digital skills, improve independence, and enhance their employment opportunities.

2. General Duty Assistant Lab:

The General Duty Assistant (GDA) Training Facility at NIT Meghalaya provides students with practical training in a simulated hospital environment. The lab is equipped with hospital beds, patient mannequins, wheelchairs, oxygen cylinders, IV stands, nebulizers, dressing materials, and other essential medical equipment.

Students learn basic patient care skills such as bed making, personal hygiene, patient positioning, monitoring vital signs, infection control, oxygen support, and emergency assistance. The facility helps students develop the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to work effectively in hospitals and healthcare centers.
