The General Duty Assistant (GDA) Training Facility at NIT Meghalaya provides students with practical training in a simulated hospital environment. The lab is equipped with hospital beds, patient mannequins, wheelchairs, oxygen cylinders, IV stands, nebulizers, dressing materials, and other essential medical equipment.
Students learn basic patient care skills such as bed making, personal hygiene, patient positioning, monitoring vital signs, infection control, oxygen support, and emergency assistance. The facility helps students develop the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to work effectively in hospitals and healthcare centers.
