The Institute’s Central Library Overview

The Institute's Central Library has grown significantly and now houses a comprehensive collection of over 16,500 text and reference books spanning a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, technology, science, humanities, social sciences, and management. The Library’s mission is to support students and faculty by providing vital knowledge and resources that promote academic and research excellence.

In addition to its physical holdings, the Library offers access to approximately 9,674 electronic books from renowned publishers such as Pearson, Wiley, Elsevier, and Springer Nature. It also benefits from the Government of India’s One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) initiative, which provides access to scholarly resources from 30 leading publishers. Key journal databases available under ONOS include Elsevier ScienceDirect, ACM Digital Library, ASME, ASCE, ACS, among others.

To support academic integrity and enhance the quality of research writing, the Library subscribes to essential tools and platforms such as Turnitin, QuillBot, Scopus, and MathSciNet. A dedicated Book Bank facility is also available exclusively for SC/ST students, ensuring inclusive access to learning materials.

All digital resources are accessible via the Institute’s network. The Library utilizes the Koha Library Management System for complete automation of its operations, including circulation services. Users can browse the collection through the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) or Web OPAC.

The Central Library now also offers 24×7 access to its digital resources and a dedicated reading space, providing continuous academic support to its users.
