Center for Robotics and Mechtronics

The center for Robotics and Mechatronics started in the year of 2019, with the faculty members from various departments like, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. The Center was officially inaugurated by Chairman, BoG of NIT Meghalaya, Shri Sajjan Bhajanka, Chairman, Century Plyboards (India) Ltd on 1st April 2019. The aim of the Centre is to cater for fundamental and applied research to enhance creative and innovative aspects in the field of Robotics and Mechatronics to translate robotics in daily lives with moral and ethical standards. Implementation of mechatronics systems in various field to improve standard of socio-economic status. The center developed Robotics and Mechatronics facilities to improve teaching and research standards. The center is also involved in training students to implement Robotics and Mechatronics in daily life appliances.

 Vision of the Centre for Robotics and Mechatronics

To create fundamental and applied research for enhance creative and innovative aspects in the field of Robotics and Mechatronics to translate robotics and mechatronics in daily lives with moral and ethical standard.

Mission of the Centre for Robotics and Mechatronics To train the students through development of the technology for Robotics and Mechatronics innovation with moral and ethical standard.

  • To create technology through innovation for enhances the productivity of industries and human comfort.
  • To create research environment with the collaboration of multiple displace to enhance research activity with Mechatronics, Control, Internet of thing and Robotics.
  • Identify the local need-based problem and solve through Centre for Robotics and Mechatronics for social benefits of local region.
  • To collaborate with the scientists or academia, in research centers, industries, defense to establishments of knowledge in the fields of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence globally to create modern technology.
  • Addressing ethical considerations and policy implications related to the use of robotics and mechatronics, ensuring responsible and beneficial deployment of these technologies.
