Proforma & Project Proposal

SUB.: CALL FOR PROPOSALS UNDER DESIGN INNOVATION CENTRE, NIT MEGHALAYA

The Design Innovation Centre at the National Institute of Technology Meghalaya invites proposals from motivated students, faculties, staff, and individuals for innovative projects at a small scale with a product-oriented focus. The proposed projects should align with the philosophy of the Design Innovation Centre, emphasizing creativity, design thinking, and practical applications.

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this call for proposals is to encourage and support innovative projects that demonstrate a high level of creativity, problem-solving, and application of design principles. The projects should aim to address real-world challenges and contribute to the overall vision of the Design Innovation Centre.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Open to all students, faculties, staff, and individuals associated with NIT Meghalaya.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration is encouraged.
• Proposals must align with the principles and objectives of the Design Innovation Centre.
• The Principle project investigator must be a regular faculty of NIT Meghalaya

PROJECT FOCUS AREAS:

Projects are encouraged to focus on, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Sustainable Design Solutions
• User-Centered Design
• Product Prototyping and Development
• Social Impact through Design
• Technological Innovation with a Design Perspective

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Proposal Submission Deadline: February 29, 2024

Maximum Project Duration: 18 Months

Maximum allowable budget: Rs. 4 Lakhs

Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, and alignment with the Design Innovation Centre's philosophy.

FUNDING AND SUPPORT:

Selected projects will receive funding and mentorship support from the Design Innovation Centre, NIT Meghalaya.
