Applications are invited from highly motivated and dynamic eligible candidates through walk in written test and interview on  13th November, 2025; 11:00 AM for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in the following research project:

Title: 6G Standardization: Critical Data Transmission (Remote location data) during Natural Calamity for North-eastern Region in India

Name of the Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Prabir Kumar Saha, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).

Name of the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI): Dr. Shubhankar Majumdar, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).

Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

Fellowship will be @ INR 37000/- + 8% H.R.A. p.m.

The fellowship is available for a maximum period of 5 years / until the end of the project.

 

Candidates are allowed to pursue a PhD as per the institute norms.

 

 

Candidates with an M.Tech. / M.E. in ECE/EE/CSE/IT

Or

M.Sc. with valid GATE/NET qualification

Or

GATE-qualified candidates with a B.Tech. / B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related disciplines.

Knowledge of EDA tools is preferable.

  2. Since this is a walk-in written test and interview, no further email will be communicated.  
  3. Mere possession of the minimum qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the merit and need of the project. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear in the interview, and no other communication will be entertained. The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason thereof.
  4. No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the interview and/or joining the position.
