The Center for International Relations at NIT Meghalaya was established in 2017. The center is a comprehensive unit committed to developing, promoting and implementing international education initiatives for our students, faculty members and staffs. The center also takes cares of admission of international students through various agencies like ICCR, Study-in-India, DASA etc.

"From the next academic year (AY), i.e., 2025–26, it is mandatory for all foreign students coming for higher studies in India to mandatorily register on the SII portal and quote the unique ID generated thereon in their visa applications. As such, no foreign student would be able to get a student visa without registering on the SII portal and quoting the Unique ID in the visa application. To proceed with their visa application process, they will have to apply via the Indian visa portal."
